In the morning it’ll only take 5 minutes to make your hot bowl of homemade oatmeal. Without the added ingredients in conventional instant oatmeal packets.
How to make them:
Grab one large mixing bowl, a measuring cup, a large spoon, and some snack-sized baggies. There are only 4 ingredients that go into these homemade protein-packed oatmeal packets. Keeping it time-efficient, budget-friendly, and so delicious. In the large mixing bowl add the gluten-free quick-cooking oats, hemp hearts, chia seeds, flax meal, and collagen peptides (if using). Stir together and then scoop out one cup of mixture for each snack-sized baggie.
In my baggies, I added one cup of mixture which will be 2 servings. Here at our house, I have 5 people that eat oatmeal (out of 6 total people that’s not too shabby!). So 2 baggies of instant oatmeal is the perfect amount to feed 5 (my youngest two have smaller portions so it evens out!). If you’ll be making these Homemade Instant Oatmeal Packets for just yourself or need a single-serve…just add ½ cup of mixture to each baggie and you’ll have 12 – one serving packets!

Whole grain food…and naturally gluten-free
- 4 cups gluten-free quick-cook oats
- 1 cup hemp hearts, shelled
- 1/3 cup chia seeds
- 3/4 cup flax meal
- 8 scoops (2/3 cup) collagen peptides

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, hemp hearts, chia seeds, flax meal and collagen peptides.

Fill snack-sized baggies with 1 cup of mix. Will fill 6 baggies. One baggie is 2 servings.

Fill snack-sized baggies with 1/2 cup of mix. Will fill 12 baggies. One baggie is 1 serving.

In a small saucepan add 1 1/4 cups water and one packet of Instant Oatmeal. Stir. Cook over low heat for 1 minute. Remove from the stove. Serve in a bowl and top with your choice of honey, blueberries, strawberries, or cinnamon.
Store baggies in the pantry for up to 2 months.
