Whether you’re still in game-day mode (there’s a great sport all year ‘round ready to watch!) or looking to heat up your normal dinner, you’re going to love my newest Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings with Lime.  They have the heat from the sriracha sauce, the sweet from the honey and the sprinkle of sea salt and freshly squeezed lime make it all come together for the best chicken ever. Trust me, you won’t be able to stop at one and your guests will be asking for the recipe.

Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings with Lime

I’ve always shied away from making chicken wings because I thought it would take too much time and maybe the baked versions weren’t all that good.  Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Baked chicken wings are ahhh-mazing and making them is incredibly simple. Just two bowls, one for the dry ingredients and one for the wet ingredients and a baking sheet.  Boom. You’ll have those bad boys in the oven baking up in under ten minutes. As for the baking, I have found that when I bake them in high heat (425 degrees) for 20 minutes, they’re more crispy. Then I finish baking them at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or depending on the size of the chicken pieces until they’re cooked all the way through.

The first time I made Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings with Lime I made my husband be my guinea pig.  They’re nice and spicy so I knew a couple of the kids weren’t going to eat them. But my husband likes spicier food, so he was my taste tester.  Just a couple bites in and he said they were a keeper! And the two older boys also really enjoyed them. They chose not to add additional sriracha sauce to their chicken, but the sauce that was baked into the chicken was just perfect for them.  As for me and the extra hot sauce, yes, I chose to add even more to my chicken that day!

Remember not to skip the sea salt and the fresh lime when making Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings my friends.  They need that little bit of salt and citrus splash from the lime to make all the flavors come alive and mix together on your palate for the best sweet and spicy chicken you’ll ever have!  Once you’ve made them, take a picture and tag me on Instagram using @anaankeny. I would love to see your kitchen creations and share your picture in my Stories!
