Grain-free Protein Waffles need to be added to your weekend brunch menu. They’re the perfect grain-free waffle that are easy to make with under 10 ingredients. They’re perfectly golden brown and crispy. Plus they are protein packed with the added Chocho protein powder from Five Suns Foods.
I am so excited to be reviewing the brand new Chocho Protein Powder from Five Suns Foods. Five Suns Foods is releasing the brand new Chocho protein powder in May 2019! Chocho protein powder are a plant based protein powder coming from South America where it’s been used for thousands of years. This Andes Mountain “super-food” is packed with great nutrients including a high amount of protein (27 grams in 1 cup!!). We are always looking for a high protein food to help in our own health and fitness journeys. For more information on the Chocho bean and a great chart showing protein comparison go HERE.
The Chocho Protein Powder from Five Suns Foods is really quite amazing, it’s completely plant based, no added ingredients, good texture and very little added taste. If you’re vegan or Paleo, this is a great protein powder for you! Love the very simple and clean ingredient list, some protein powders have an ingredient list so long it takes ten minutes to read through. The texture of the Chocho Protein Powder is very minimal and more smooth than most protein powders. As for the taste, I cannot taste when this protein powder has been added to foods or smoothies. A great way to sneak more protein into the kids’ diets this way!
Are you ready for some crispy Grain-free Protein Waffles? Let’s talk about one waffle that is perfect for your weekend brunch with a side of bacon & strawberries and topped with a dollop of coconut cream & a drizzle of maple syrup. I made these waffles one Sunday morning and everyone loved them! It only took 5 minutes to whip up the batter, with under 10 ingredients, it goes quickly. Making the waffles took only about 20 minutes! During the cooking time, I had just enough time to make the bacon, set the table and cut up the fresh fruit. And if you’re lucky enough to have leftovers, they store great in the fridge and warm up in the toaster quite nicely.
