Instant Pot 20 Minute Taco Rice Bowl
Instant Pot 20 Minute Taco Rice Bowl is a quick & easy dinner, made with just a few ingredients, and is a family favorite meal.
STEP ONE:
Turn the Instant Pot to ‘Saute’ and manually adjust the time to 10 minutes. Add the ground beef and as it browns, break it up into small pieces using a wooden or plastic spatula. Once ground beef is cooked through, press ‘Cancel’ on the Instant Pot.
STEP TWO:
Add the rice, spices, and water to the Instant Pot. Stir. Place the lid securely on the Instant Pot and turn the pressure valve to seal. Press ‘Pressure Cook’ and manually adjust the time to 5 minutes.
STEP THREE:
Once it’s done cooking, let the pressure manually come down by letting it sit for 4 minutes. This will help the rice stay more moist. Once the 4 minutes is up, turn the pressure valve to release the rest of the pressure (caution, it will be HOT!). Press ‘Cancel’ on the Instant Pot and serve Instant Pot 20 Minute Taco Rice Bowl.
OR
Press ‘Keep Warm’ and serve when you’re ready. Will keep warm for up to 1 hour before the rice begins to dry out.
HOW TO SERVE:
In a bowl add a generous scoop of the taco rice dinner. Top with chopped lettuce, cilantro, scallions, a fresh squeeze of lime, or a dash of hot sauce.
