Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8 OR 7x11 glass baking dish. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl add the flax meal and warm water. Stir. Let it sit for 2 minutes to thicken. Then add the cane sugar, avocado oil, and vanilla. Stir until it’s smooth.
Add the cassava flour, cocoa, baking soda, and sea salt. Fold into the wet ingredients until it’s well combined. The cassava flour will create fine powder dust, so folding the dry ingredients into the batter will help to keep the flour dust down. Lastly, add the chocolate chips, fold in.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly and smooth the top with the back of the spoon. Add the sliced strawberries to the top. Bake for 20 minutes.
