Simple Homemade Almond Milk

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 4 cups water
  • 2-4 dates, pitted
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 Ellie's Best Nut Milk Bag
Instructions
  1. Add the raw almonds to the Ellie's Best Nut Milk Bag and cinch closed.  Place in a medium mixing bowl and add enough water to cover the almonds.  Let soak for 12 hours.  

  2. Drain the water from the almonds.  Place the almonds in a high speed blender with the water, dates and sea salt.  Blend on high for 2 minutes.

  3. Place the Ellie's Best Nut Milk Bag in a mixing bowl.  Slowly pour the almond milk into the Nut Milk Bag.  Twist the top closed and slowly squeeze the milk from the almond pulp.  Using a kneading method, extract all liquid from the almond pulp.  

  4. Store the almond milk in a glass container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
